MEETING IN A FOREST.
DISPERSED BY COSSACKS. AN ATTEMPT AT RESCUE. (Received October 30, 9.32 p.m.) St. Petersburg, October 30. A meeting that was being held in a forest at Pabience, in Poland, yesterday, was interrupted by a Cossack force. The Cossacks arrested 120. men, and on their comrades trying to rescue the prisoners, fired a volley which killed one man and wounded i twenty. MOSCOW'S WATER SUPPLY. OFFER BY THE STRIKERS. , (Received October 30, 0.32 p.m.) St. Petersburg, October 30. The strikers offer to restore Moscow's water supply if they are allowed complete control of the reservoirs, with the right to suspend the supply at will. A great meeting of all classes, which has been held in the city, has urged resort to an armed conflict and the creation of a committee of public safety.
