A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.
ALLEGED FALSE DECLARATION.

CimisTCHtrnCH, Tuesday. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Herbert Donald J&rvis was committed for trial on a- charge of making a false declaration for the purpose of procuring a marriage certificate. Evidence was given that on October 9, 1905, accused had made a declaration before the registrar that he was a bachelor when ho was married >n June, 1904. ' Accused was about to go through the marriage ceremony after procuring the certificate in October, 1905, but his mother objected, on the ground that his first wife was alive.
