Bishop Nevill, who presided, declared for religious instruction outright, while Dean Fit-' cl.ott said if the efforts of the clergy to TO religious instructioH within school hours were conceded it would lead to denominationalism. The Primate also declared that Ano-li-cans would be forced to establish their own schools. Other speakers declared that they had been advised that the existing law permitted Bible reading within school hours
