THE Pennsylvania railroad broke all records between New York and Chicago to-day by making ; a run of 897 miles in 17 hours flat This feat was accomplished by two special trains, one running from New York to Pittsburg in eight hours and 50 minutes, and the other making the trip from Pittsburg to Chicago in eight hours and. 10 minutes. ho runs were trials of speed to demonstrate the ability of the Pennsylvania to nut an 18hour train into service, and make the schedule with case under ordinary circumstances, fit several ways the Chicago end of the run was remarkable.'
