DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER S FOR PUBLIC WORKS. [by TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Monday. Arrangements are being made by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce for a deputation to wait on the Hon. W. Hall-Jones (Minister for Public Works), to urge the speedy completion of the North Island Main Trunk railway line, and the taking over by the Government of the Manawatu railway. Members of Parliament from all the districts affected are to be invited to take part in the deputation, which is to take place on the 15th just.
