ORGANISATION FOR ELECTORAL PROPOSALS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] •; ; Wellington, Monday. The provincial councils of the Farmers' Union of Poverty Bay, Taranaki, Auckland, and Wellington have sent the following motion forward for ' consideration at the colonial, conference of delegates:—"That the union as a whole shall take a strong political attitude, and strenuously oppose those candidates at the general election who are opposed to its platform., and support those candidates who will endorse it irrespective oi' parties." : ' ' .

The Auckland! delegates will move, "That the conference discuss a scheme for better organisation for electoral purposes, audi instruct each branch and centre in 'the means of working the scheme."

The Poverty Bay delegates are instructed to go still further, and will move, "That provincial executives be empowered, to submit the names of candidates for Parliament at the general election, and that vot-ing-papers with the names of such candidates be sent to all branches, which shall hold an election by ballot, and through the post office . where members are unable to attend the meetings, the result to be forwarded to the provincial executives, which, shall declare the candidate favoured by a majority of the members to be the one who shall receive the united support of the union throughout the electoral district."
