Invkkcahgii.L, Sunday. The new Roman Catholic Church of St. Mary's was dedicated to-day in the presence of a very large congregation, trains bringing many from the country. The ceremonial was most impressive, those, taking part in it fitting Archbishop Redwood, Bishops Crimes (Christchurcli), Verdon (Dttnedin), Wonsigners McKay and O'Leary, Dean Burke, and the local clergy. Dr. Redwood preached ait eloquent .sermon, taking- for his text Psalm cxviii. 28. The church. •which will sent 1100 people, is a massive brick building, with a Byzantine dome springing from the centre to a height of over IGOft.
