FIRE AT PAEROA.

PaEROA, Saturday. A FIRE broke out at one o'clock this morning in, the paint shop connected with the business of Messrs. Ellis and Hunt, wheelwrights and blacksmiths. When the fire was discovered the building was all ablaze, and although the fire brigade arrived on the scene promptly they could only prevent the flames extending to the blacksmithing department adjoining. The building destroyed contained a quantity of paints, oil, and varnish, as well as two buggies, and these were burned. The damage amounts to about £60. Tile origin of the fire is not known.
