MESSAGE TO NATIONALISTS.

Rome, April 28. The Pope has received Mr. J. E. Redmond, M.P., in audience, and discussed with him matters relating to Ireland. The Pope then said that the National Party was the defender of Ireland's national religion, and the party's efforts to win liberty for Ireland and civil and religious rights for the Irish people by lawful and peaceful means had his sympathy and blessing. He sent his apostolic benediction to the members of the party and their families The Pope presented Mr. Redmond with a portrait and an autograph, with an inscription, expressing hope that the party, by using All legal pacific means, will win that liberty which would make for the/welfare of the Catholic Church and the whole community. /
