CHRISTCHURCH EXHIBITION

Christchurch, Friday. The Mayor (Mr. C. 31. Gray) and members of the Sites Committee visited the North Park this morning, for the purpose of conferring with Messrs. Slarchant (Sur-veyor-General) and Mr. Campbell (Government architect), with respect to their recommendations for the election of the main industrial portions of the exhibition buildings and the exact locality for the same. The recommendations met with the approval of the committee. Mr. Humphries, of the Lauds Department, was also present. A survey will be immediately made by Messrs. Mclutyre and Lewis, acting for the Lands and Survey Department.
