SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

ADDITIONAL RESULTS. JPhe following are additional results of the school committee elections which took place on Tuesday evening: —

Te Awamutu: There was a very poor attendance of householders at the meeting. The report stated that- the school still continues 10 be carried 011 in a satisfactory manner under Mr. H. h. Forde, the headteacher, and Miss- Mitchell, assistant. The inspector's reports were also favourable. The new syllabus came into force on January 1, necessitating considerably more apparatus and books. Many of the required articles were too expensive for the funds, and could not be procured at present. The authorised books for reading this year were in many eases unprocurable, although half lie school year was gone. This was a serious drawback to the proper conduct, of the school. The following were elected as the new committee:—Messrs. C. Bowder. (chairman), W. N. Yon Sturmei, 11. Y. Collins, P. B. Brown. It. S. (ialbraith, T. Davies, mid W. Ivirkliam.—[Own Correspondent.]
