THE STEAMER TAVINUI.
OVERDUE AT AUCKLAND
The Union Company's steamer Taviuni is over a day late at, Auckland on her voyage from the Society and Cook Islands. The steamer left Auckland for the Islands on the evening of February 21, and was expected back at Auckland on Wednesday night last. The fact of her being behind time is attributed to bad weather, the mail steamer Sonoma, which arrived from San Francisco, Honolulu, and Samoa on Wednesday morning having reported meeting with strong southerly gales from the equator to the New Zealand coast.
