W.viirr, Friday. After the public meeting last night, the Premier was entertained by tlio Liberal League, and at half-past twelve he sang "The Wearing of the Green," in honour of St. Patrick's Day. About one o'clock ho proceeded to his hotel. He. was up again at five this morning, and a little after six started on bis ride to Taurangn. He was accompanied on his journey by Mr. W. H. Herrics. M.H.R., and his private secretarr.'

At Katikati lie was entertained at luncheon by the resident*, who presented him with an address of Welcome. The Premier staled that the Government intended to give the whole of the flax and timber royalties to local bodies. He premised to favourably consider a request for bridges on the county roads.

TauhaN'CA, Friday.

Tho Premier arrived hero at half-past three to-day. He was met and welcomed by the Mayor and county chairman, and a number of councillors. The Premier and a- number of others left at four o'clock for Tho Mount, as guests of the Foresters, who were holding their 25th anniversary. While there Mr. Seddon presented prizes to a number of children, who were each given a few kind words. After tea the party returned to town at seven o'clock, having had a. pleasant outing. To-night the Premier will be present at the Foresters' social. The programme for Saturday is as follows : —Deputation*, ten a.m. to twelve: official opening of the King's Esplanade, built by the Borough Council, at a cost of about. £1500: attend gathering at tennis lawn on the invitation of .Mrs. Jordan (Mayoress), and a. banquet given by the local bodies at eight p.m. Mr. Seddon will leave for Eotorui next morning. At Rotorua Mr. Seddon will be joined by Mrs. and Miss Seddon, and in all piobability he will visit Hamilton on Tuesday nest. It is likely that tho Premier will then proceed to Wellington by the Wanganui River route.
