SIGHTED IN BAY OF PLENTY.
HER RUDDER GONE.
Captain* John* Bolls, of the Union Company's steamer Tarawera, -which arrived from the Fast Coast yesterday, has reported to the Collector of Customs at Auckland that at a-quarter to tea on Wednesday last a white-painted scow was sighted, 20 miles west of Cape Runaway. The vessel showed the signal letters X F.L.D. (her official number), and then V.B.J, (lost rudder), followed by U.M. ("Report me to my owners."). The vessel is probably the Warrior, bound from Wellington to Auckland, and which is owned by Messrs. James Smith and Co. -
