CHARGES - OF ASSAULT.
As a sequel to the " scene" "which occurred at the qioso of the Premier's meeting at tile Drill Hall on Tuesday,' Mr. Wni. Richardson, who moved the amendment to the motion of thanks and confidence, has laid informations against the Hon. E. Mitclielson, Mr. P. J. Nerhcii* (president of the Auckland branch Of the Liberal and Labour Federation), . ami. Inspector Cullea, charging them with assault. The informant alleges that he ; wan assaulted by Mr. Ner\\eny, and that he, was assaulted by the Mayor and Inspector Cullen. when he first mounted the platform to more his amendment. The charges will be heard on Wednesday next. , -
