There is no report of activity at the seat of war beyond a statement that the Japanese have advanced beyond Yeirtai. The Japanese found 3100 dead Russians at Liao-yaug. Field-Marshal Oyama has ordered 100,000 men and 225 -guns to reinforce him at the end ot the present month. General Steessel, reporting to the Tsar, says food and ammunition are getting short at Port Arthur. It is stated that the Russian transport Lena, which entered the port of Wan Francisco, had been damaged by a Japanese cruiser, which is waiting outside the harbour for her.
