SAVINGS BANK DEPOSITS.
[BY telegraph.— press association.] Wellington, Thursday. Thk sum of £1,519,052 was deposited in the Post Office Savings Banks of the colony during the March quarter, against £1,443,835 for the same period in Ui)'6. The withdrawals were £1,515,610, against £1,349,242 in March of last year. The excess of withdrawals over deposits were £3441 in March last, against £34,592 in the 1906 period.
