SUICIDE AT HAMILTON.
HOSPITAL PATIENT SHOOTS HIMSELF.
[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Thursday. George Walton,' an inmate of the Waikato Hospital, committed suicide on Wednesday. Towards dusk he was missed, and a search instituted, which resulted in his being found by Dr. Douglas in a ditch outside the hospital gate with. a bullet wound in the centre of his forehead and a revolver beside him. Walton was at once removed to the hospital, and the doctor tried to locate the bullet, which had penetrated the brain, but was unsuccessful. The unfortunate man lingered till morning when he expired. \ Nothing is as yet known as to where he procured the revolver. Deceased was about 40 years of age, and an old resident of the Waikato, and at one time followed the occupation of horse trainer, and met with considerable success.
