SWIMMING.
The authorities of the Auckland Swimming Club have decided to abandon the gala fixed lor Saturday next in the Graving Dock owing to the weather having become too cold tot swimming. The 100 yd- ladies' championship of New South Wales was won by Miss Nea. Bristowe, who beat Miss Hut tell and Miss Duracl in the final, covering the distance in lm. 30-.
Without wishing to detract from Koran's brilliant; achievements at the Australasian championship meeting, " Natator" confesses to holding the opinion that had Dick C'avill trained anything lika properly the margin of 10yds between the pair in the " half" would at least have been considerably less.
