[BT TELEGRAPH. press ASSOCIATION.] Hastings, Monday. Tub annual dinner of tko Farmers' Union took place on Saturday night. Seventy were present. At a meeting held afterwards, it was decided: (1) Against Mr. J. T. Wilson's proposal to establish tin official organ for the union; (2) hi favour of establishing a branch of the farmers' mutual insurance in Hawke'a Bay; (3) to support the action of the A. and P. Society in protesting against the attempt to invest the entire control of rabbit destruction iu districts in the bands of the Board.
