ALLEGED RACING FRAUDS.
[BY; TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.! Westport, Wednesday. The Magistrate's Court was engaged this afternoon, and evening dealing with charges of conspiracy to defraud, against Charles Woodward and Walter Foster, who it is alleged, by pretending to invest £10 on Cateress at the Westport Jockey Club's second day's races, induced John Ogg to give them £5 to similarly invest, and that the amount was not invested. Both accused were committed to the District Court for trial, bail being fixed in each case, accused £100 and two sureties of £50 each.
