YESTERDAY'S PROCEEDINGS.

VrEtLINGTONi Wednesday. At the Medical Conference to-day, .Dr.; Vslintine read a paper on an inquiry into lbs prevalence of tuberculosis in New Zealand, with Some suggestions as to its administrative control. v Dr. Muson contributed a paper on smallpox in New Zealand, and Mr. J. A. Gilruth gave a demonstration of the method of conferring immunity by the use of virulent cultures. The annual dinner of the association took -place tonight. To-morrow a paper on "Responsibility in Crime"; will bo read by Dr. Gow. Judges of the Supreme Court, magistrates, and members of the legal profession have been invited to take part in the discussion on this paper.
