IT has been decided that until the end:'of:j.i" : February next the Sunday evening services at the. local Protestant churches will commence at half-past seven o'clock, instead of seven, the object being to allow those engaged in dairying pursuits to attend. On Monday evening last the pupils from St. Mary's Convent School, Hamilton, gave a very enjoyable concert here. The programme was as follows:—Piano solo,. Dunn; violin solo, " Adeste Fideles." Rev. Fatherv Darby; dialogue, " Dolly's Doctor," Misses <J. Gallagher and E. Hae; vocal duet, Misses C. Casey and E. Gallagher. THE ordinary meeting ot the Loyal Jubilee Lodge of Oddfellows was held on Tuesday night. Brother Miller, N.G., presiding.- It was agreed that the recommendations of the Auckland District officers regarding the movable committee be adopted. A strong committee, with Mr. J. Silcock as secretary, was appointed in connection with the annual summer picnic.
