The Wellington Post says : We are pleased that the Legislative Council has placed on record its appreciation of Sir John Logan Campbell's gift of Cornwall Park to the people of New Zealand. Not only is this splendid donation unique in the colony, but it would not be easy to find its parallel elsewhere. To call it "princely" would be to use a term absurdly inadequate. According to the Hon. R. H. J. Reeves, the mover of the resolution, the property a generation hence will represent a value of fully a million sterling. We hope that Sit John Logan Campbell's grand example will find imitators. Our Premier has thanked heaven that New Zealand has no millionaires. It has, however, men of large wealth, whose liberality is not in all cases commensurate with their means. It would bo a worthy act voluntarily to devote such superfluity to noble public ends, as Sir J. L. Campbell has done. His action should be accepted as a stirring call to others with similar opportunities, even though on a more moderate scale, to go and do likewise." ; Calves' feet ieliv (plain): This choice variety may bo had in Tucker's Sunshine Jelly Crystals, of 18 different flavours, all and .each of the very finest obtainable. Your Srocei can get whichever you wish.
