New Zealand Herald Office. Saturday evening. The sharemarket was fairly active to-day. In investment lines, Taupiri Coals were done at 20s, Northern Steamship Company (contributing) at. 7s, and Tonson Garlicks at 19s. Bank of New Zoalands wer looked for at 745, sellers 77s 6d. National Banks had no sellers, buyers quoting at Sis 6d. Now Zealand Insurances at 853 3d, were without buyers. In mining lines Mahara Royals at 2s were inquired for at 2s 9d. Crowns sold at lis 6d, at which price there were further buyers. Tairua Broken Hills changed hands at 7s 6d. Waihis had sellers at £5 9s, no buyers quoting. For "Waihi Grand Junctions there were offers of 16s, sellers asking 20s. Bunker's Hills were easier, sales being reported at 4s 3d and 4s Bd, with late sellers at 4s 9d, buyers 4s 7d. Old Haurakis continued to harden, selling at 3s 6d and 3s 4d. In other lines late prices ruled. GROCERS' MARKET QUOTATIONS. AUCKLAND FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKETS. A quiet business is reported in the local produce markets during the past week. Waikato potatoes were brought forward in considerable quantities, and prime Hobarts sold well, but whites were hard to quit. Canterbury?, although fairly plentiful, were slow of sale. Seed kidneys were source and dear. Owing to the bad weather, the fruit market has been rather dull. Fresh dairy buttei was scarce, and supplies of frozen heavy.
