RAILWAY FREIGHTS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CnitiSTCHimcH, Tuesday Instructions have been issued by Sir Joseph Ward for the preparation of an amended schedule of rates of freight on the four port lines of the colony. These ports will receive equal treatment by computation of mileage, on the basis that 40 chains or less over aßy exact number of miles will be half a mile, and 40 chains or over a complete mile.
