PRESENTATION OF PRIZES BY LADY
RANFURLY.
The putting competition in connection with the championship tournament of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club took place on the
links at One-tree Hill yesterday afternoon. There were 33 entries, the conditions being one ball from three distances. The putting on the whole was of a high standard, the improvement shown by the beginners being particularly noticeable. The winner proved to be Miss M. Cotter, who holed the three distances in five strokes. Miss C. Draper, Miss Barstow, Miss B. Stevenson, Miss Gillies, Mrs. W. B. Colbeck, and Miss C. Clark tied for second place with six strokes. The play-off for second place resulted in a win for Miss Gillies. The tournament prizes were afterwards presented at die clubhouse by Lady Ranfurly, who was received on arrival by Mrs. Street (president) and Mrs. Lewis (captain). The prizes won during the tournament were presented to the following by Her Ladyship: — Auckland Championship (trophy presented by Auckland Golf Club): Won by Miss Lewis, with Miss Gillies as runner-up. Handicap Foursome Competition (president's prize): Mrs. W. R. Bloomfield and Miss Lewis, 1; Miss B. Pierce and Miss Torrance, 2.
Handicap Medal Competition: Miss Buckland, 1; Miss M. Cotter, 2. Approach and Putting Competition: Mrs W. It. Bloomfield, 1; Mrs. E. D. O'Rork^ Driving Competition: Miss M. Richmond 1; Miss E. Gorrie, 2. ' Putting Competition: Miss M. Cotter, 1 ; Miss Gillies, 2.
