EASTER HOLIDAYS.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS. Ssvehal attractions are announced for Easter, and given fine weather there should be no lack of enjoyment for pleasure-seekers during ilu; holiday period. The Auckland Racing (Jlub will hold its autumn meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday next (April 11), Easter Monday and the day following. Special trains will bo run to the coarse as usual. The principal events on the first day will be the Easter Handicap and the Great Northern Champagne Stakes. On Good Friday evening there will be a production of " Sta.bat Mater" at His Majesty's Theatre. The programme will also include a number, of miscellaneous vocal items. / A sacred concert will be given in the Opera House by the Steele-Payne Family of Bellringers on Good Friday night. On Saturday night Anderson's Dramatic Company will open a season at His Majesty's Theatre in the sensational drama, " The Worst Woman in London." There will be Easter excursions to Rotorua, Wairakei, and Taupo. A special train will leave Auckland for Rotorua at ten o'clock on Thursday night, and will leave Rotorua on the re-turn journey at twenty minutes past seven p.m. on Easter Monday, arriving in Auckland at three o'clock on the following morning.
