WESTMINSTER . ABBEY GLEE AND CONCERT PARTY.
Much interest is being taken in the three concerts to be given by the Westminster Abbey Glee and Concert Party, commencing to-night, at Abbott's Opera House. The male members of the organisation took part in the song service in the evening at both St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, and St. Thomas'. At the former the anthem, "Send Out Thy Light" (Gounod) was rendered, and at the latter "Lord for Thy Tender Mercies' Sake" (Farrant) and "Send Out Thy Light." In the morning Master Hubbard, at St. Paul's, sang, "Come Unto Him" (Handel), and at St' Matthew's Mr. Percy Coward (male alto) Bang "Consider, O Lord." To-night's programme will be found in our advertising columns. It will be seen that it is entirely secular. However, owing to this being Holy Week, an anthem -will be ren- ' dered between parts 1 and 2, and the concert will start at a quarter-past eight, instead of eight, giving those' attending church service an opportunity of arriving for the first number.
