WADMANGU GEYSER.
«. ABNORMAL ACTIVITY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWX COBBESFOSDJSJTT.] Rotokta, Monday. Mr. J. Melville (of Robertson and Co.) and Mr. G. A. Empson (postmaster), together with a party of tourists, report having witnessed on Sunday one of the finest eruptions of Waimangu geyser seen for gome time. The great geyser has been quiet, bub yesterday showed abnormal activity. It commenced to play about ten minutes past one p.m., and columns rising up to 200 ft and 300 ft were thrown up continuously the whole afternoon, describing in their evolutions a great many fantastic forms.
