Feildixo, Thursday. . The Coronation Committee last night reported a surplus of about £10. They voted £5 to be divided between three local bands, and, the balance to the School Committee for purchasing gymnastic apparatus and for planting trees in the playgrounds. * ; Gjsbobxe, Thursday. .'. Michael Boland, contractor, an old resident of the district, fell down the .staircase of the Record Reign Hole! on Wednesday night, and injured his spimj."■■' He lies in the hospital in a critical condition. No one saw the accident, but Boland states that as he was going up the staircase he felt a fit coming on and fell. ; "' Letters from. South Africa state that Mr. Edward Eges. a local solicitor, has been admitted to the Bar at Pretoria.
