As showing the interest taken in the society, , he mentioned that- the secretary (Mr. JStevenson) had received an application from Wellington for information regarding the ' " society, with a view to the formation of a similar body in that city. : The following were elected as the seven additional memuers of the committee, ' * bringing the number up to 12 : Messrs. J/assmore (Donaghy s ' Rope and Twine Co., Limited), John Schiscfcka (merchant). The president is Mr. J. fpH C. Macky (Macky, Logan, Steen, and Co.), ■ and the vice-presidents Messrs. J. W. Hall • (T. H. Hall and Co.) and A. B. Pvoberton Kg; (Heather, Roberton, and Co.) It was resolved that seven form a quorum of the committee.. At a special meeting of the society, held |' J7. prior to the general meeting, the following <* resolution was carried, on the motion of Mr. I®-- A. B. Roberton, seconded by Mr. M. Mc- | 1 - Galium:"That the Auckland Trade Protection Society become incorporated under i. ) the Unclassified Societies Registration Act, 1895, by the style and title of the Auckland | Trade Protection Society." ■ : .
