MASONIC.
The installation of Brother Samuel George Lee as W.M., of Lodge Ara, 348, 1.C., took place at noon yesterday in the Masonic Hal!, Princes-street, in the presence of a large gathering. Representatives were present from all the lodges in the district, as well as the four grand lodges. Brother W. J. Rces, P.G.M. of the Irish Constitution, attended with the officers of the Grand Lodge, Brother C. C. McMillan, D.G.M., and the officers of the District Grand Lodge, E.C.; and Brother A. S. Russell, P.G.G., and the officers of the Grand Lodge, N.Z.CJ. Brother S. G. Lee was duly installed as master of the lodge, and he invested the following officers with their insignia of office:—l.P.M., Brother P. Prime; H.W., Brother A. G. Lee; J.W., Brother E. H. i'roude; treasurer, Brother E. B. Piggotfc, P.M. (re-elected); secretary. Brother P. J. Whitakor, P.P.G.W. (reelected) ; chaplain, Brother Rev. W. E. Gillain; S.D., Brother G. E. Read; J.D., Brother C. W. Spooner; D. of C., Brother E. H. M. Magley, P.M.; organist, Brother J. H. Fhilpott, P.G-.0. (re-eleoted); 1.G., Brother H. Munro; S.G., Brother F. L. Gribben; J.S., Brother C. Blomfield; and tyler, Brother W. Caron, P.M. Before the lodge closed, R.W., Brother W. J. Roes, on behalf of the brethren of Lodge Ara, presented W., Brother JO. R. Piggott, with a handsome marble clock.
