LAUNCH OF A STEAMER,

The steamer Claymore, built for the McGregor Steamship Company, Auckland, lias been launched at Glasgow, The Claymore was built by Messrs. Murdoch and Murray, of Port Glasgow, to the order of the McGregor Steamship Company, and is intended for ihe trade between Auckland, Waiwera, Warkworth and Omaha. The new steamer is having her engines and boilers fitted up by Messrs. Muir and lionston, Glasgow, and as all the saloon fittings, etc., were placed in the steamer whilst on the stocks, it is expected that she will be ready to leave Glasgow for Auckland about the middle of this month, and should arrive in September next.
