The annual public meeting in connection with the rescue and social operations of the Salvation Array will be hold in the Newton Barracks, Ponsonby Road, on Tuesday evening next. The chairman (Mr. J. H. Witheford, M.H.R.) will address the meeting, as will also the Rev. W. Ready, the Rev. W. Potter, Mrs. Brigadier Glover, and others. Opened to-day: Ladies requiring the very latest styles in jackets should inspect our new shipment of coverts, etc., in green, grays, fawn, etc.; also special line of 110 samples ditto, marked much under ordinary prices, 6s lid, 8s lid, 14s lid, 16s lid 18s lid, 21s 9cl up; smart costumes and black dress skirts all McCullagh and Gower. . McNicol and Co. will auction on June 12, at three p.m., at the Borough Council Yards, Hamilton, four splendid freehold business sites in Hamilton township, two of which have a frontage to Victoria-street (the main street).
