PING-PONG.

The committee in charge of the juvenile tournament at Remuera are leaving no stone unturned to moke the affair a success in every way. Already most of the entries have been received, but the list is not to be finally closed until Tuesday, June 10, at twelve noon, so any intending competitors who.have not already done so had better send in their names to the secretary at once. I notice the Remuera Club has got both balls going. St. Mark's having six tables and Nairn's having five in use. Amongst the ladies of this club showing good form are Miss P. Clark, Miss Winnie Cotter and Miss Aileen MeFarlane, and there are quite a number of others who, I hear, are making rapid strides, but I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them play. \ j* is very pleasing to see that the Pingpong Association has been formed and is in active working order, and I hope the committee will go fully into the matter of what shall constitute a correct servo before passin* the rule tinder this head finally. 1 think if the umpires enforced the rule ot making players hold the racquet below the waist it would be quite severe enough It is understood that Mrs. McCosh Clark has presented a silver cup to the association, to be competed for at a championship meeting, and the proceeds to go to- the Girls Maori Mission. This generous gift will no doubt be greatly appreciated by all play and should cause some keen competitions.
