THE DOWAGER EMPRESS OF CHINA.

The Dowager Empress and the Emperor made an imposing re-entry into Pekin after a pilgrimage, to the eastern tombs. The Chinese officials prostrated themselves before the Dowager, who stood in the presence of the Emperor, who was shabbily clad. The Dowager was j remarkably affable, greeting several foreign lady special correspondents.
