MeFarland), took occasion to refer to that gentleman's impending departure from the district.. The mover referred to the fact that Mr. MeFarluml had always taken, a keen interest in educational matters, and whenever opportunity offered had acted on the committee. He thought it was due to Mr. McFarland that this meetingof 'householders should place on record its appreciation of his services in connection with school committee' work, and moved accordingly. The motion, oil being put to the meeting, was carried by acclamation. Mr. McFarland suitably acknowledged the vote. At,a meeting of the newly-e.eoted committee the Rev. C.
