WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD
THE SECRETARY'S SALARY. [iIY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. Mr. Fisher, M.H.R., intends to move at next meeting of the Harbour Board that the resolution to increase the salary of the Board's secretary and- engineer to £1750 be revoked.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Tuesday. A requisition bearing seven signatures having been published, asking Messrs. Fisher and mlford, M.H.B.'s, who are also members of the Wellington Harbour Board, to convene a public meeting to consider certain matters of the Board's administration, including the increase of Mr. Ferguson's salary to £1750, Mr. Fisher announces that v, meeting will be held at the skating rink on Thursday evening. The persons signing the requisition are of no prominence iu the community, and the meeting is not likely to attract much attention.
