A meeting was held, and branches of the Farmers' Union were formed at Napier, Taradale, Petone, Olive, and Kaikora. Two meetings were held every day. An influential meeting was held at Hastings on Saturday evening. Captain Russell and Mr. Fraseiy with all the influential men in the place, were present.
