AN ICE CREAM LICENSE.

[]1Y TELKORAIMi.—I'BKSS ASSOCIATION'.] Christchcrch, Friday. SOLOMON Shah, who paid £10 to the CityCouncil for an ice cream license, which was afterwards taken away, sued for the amount at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Mr. Beetham gave judgment for the amount claimed. He held the Council's by-laws made no provision for issuing the license, and permission to have the stand was a contract.
