A PAINFUL HOSPITAL CASE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christcktjrcii, Wednesday. The case of a woman who is suffering from lupus has come up again. Some time ago the Hospital Board agreed to take charge of her, and she was placed in a separate ward. Now, however, she lias gone out of her mind, and the house surgeon at the hospital says she is a dangerous lunatic. The superintendent of Sunnyside Asylum says he cannot admit her to his institution, as there is no accommodation for such cases, and the hospital officials do not like to take the responsibility. The Hospital Board discussed the matter to-day, and rejected a motion .that the magistrate should be requested to issue a warrant for her committal to the asylum. She will therefore remain at the hospital for the present. A night nurse has been secured for her, but difficulty is experienced in getting another for the day. The woman is said to be dreadfully disfigured, and has the use of only one arm.
