AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Business was resumed on the Exchange yesterday, the tone of the market being quiet. In investment lines New . Zealand Insurances sold at 71s 6d, with further buyers at 70s 6d, sellers 725. Other stocks had fair demand. In mining lines Waitekauris were done at 9s 3d, sellers closing at 9s 6d, with ! buyers at 8s 9d. Crowns were looked for at 10s, sellers lis. For Talismans there were buyers at 17s 9d, no sellers quoting. Wailiis were ■ held firm at £6 10s, buyers £6 '4s. Waihi Extendeds were wanted at 2s 9d, sellers 3s. Waihi Grand Junctions had sellers at 40s, buyers 355. In other lines late prices ruled. WELCOME JACK G.M. CO. The result of the Welcome Jack Gold Mining Company's" crushing of 18 tons of ore before the holidays was a yield of 620z Bdwt of gold, valued at £144 16s sd. GOLD AND SILVER EXPORT. LARGE INCREASE FROM AUCK- :... land;. [BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION J Greymottth, ' Monday. The gold export for 1901 (which was telegraphed from Wellington on Saturday) is the highest since 1871. The principal increases are : Auckland, 23,4480z in 1901, as against 18,4450z in 1900; and Greymouth, 10,8140z in 1901, as against 1789 (sic) in 190(1 In 1901 Auckland exported 85,8050z of silver, . valued at £10,225, as against 32,7320z, valued at £3835 in 1900. DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. [by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ' ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday. The Dunedin Stock Exchange was opened to-day. There was no great business in the way of sales, but prices were steady. Only 14 dredges have reported this week, the total yield being 311oz 3dwt 16gr, or an average of 220z per dredge. Additional returns : Perseverance 11., 450z lOdwt 2gr ; Perseverance 1., 330z 16dwt 16gr ; Waimumu Central, 290z 4gr ; Majestic, 17oz sdwt. . '
