MORE CAVALRY WANTED.
LORD KITCHENER'S REQUEST. REINFORCEMENTS BEING SENT. (Received January J, 9.32 a.m.) London, December 31. Lord Kitchener has asked for more cavalry. London, January 1. The King inspects the 1200 selected Brigade of .Guards previous to their embarkation for South Africa on the 18th. Earl Longford and "Viscount Fincastle are raising two regiments, to be known as the Irish Horse . and the Fincastle Horse respectively.' They embark for South Africa at an early date.
