NEW YEAR GREETINGS.
[aX TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ; Dunedin, Wednesday. On the Ist insfc. the Premier sent the following message to the Premier of the Commonwealth :—"New ; Zealand sends you hearty congratulations on the first anniversary of the inauguration of the Commonwealth, heartily wishing you every _■ success and prosperity." Mr. Seddon has received the following reply from Mr. Barton:—"Australia heartily thanks New Zealand for congratulations on the first anniversary of the inauguration of the Commonwealth, and in return wishes your splendid colony all prosperity, peace, and plenty."
