NARROW ESCAPE FROM DROWNING.

[BY telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Wednesday. The holidays have passed off well, but there was a narrow escape from drowning in a lagoon at the sands to-day.. A little child was paddling about in deep water, when its mother rushed in and both were under water. Messrs. Ingram and A, Dee dived in and got both out. After two hours' work both were restored sufficiently to be taken to the hospital, where they are doing well. -- ■■ - - ;
