COUNTY COUNCILS.
WAIKATO. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Thursday. THE annual meeting of the Waikato County Council was held on Wednesday. There were present: Messrs. Seddon, Wheeler, Primrose, Bailey, Thomas, and McCrae. Mr. Primrose was unanimously elected chairman, and Messrs. Primrose,. Bailey, and Wheeler were elected representatives of the county on the Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. PIAKO. [BY TELEGRAM.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Thursday. Only three councillors attended tho annual meeting of the Pialco County Council. The election of chairman and representatives on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board could not take place, and the meeting was adjourned till Monday, December 2. Several accounts were passed for payment, subject to confirmation by the adjourned meeting. BAGLAN. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.]" Hamilton, Thursday Messrs. Mathias, Bankart, Hewitt, Lowry. Latrpbe, McKinnon, Whiteside, McGuirk, and Bruce were present at the annual meeting of the Raglan County Council. Mr. McGuirk nominated Mr. Bankart as chairman, and Mr. Mathias seconded. Mr. Bruce proposed Mr. Hewitt, who was seconded by Mr. McKinnon. Messrs. McGuirk, Latrobe, and Mathias voted for Mr. Bankart. and Messrs. Hewitt, McKinnon, Whiteside, and Lowry against. For Mr. Hewitt the voting was: Messrs. Hewitt, Lowry, McKinnon, Whiteside, and Bruce. TAURANGA. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Tauranga, Thursday. At the special meeting of the Tauranga County Council yesterday Mr. J. A. M. Davidson was unanimously re-elected chairman. OPOTIKI. Opotiki, Wednesday. At the annual meeting of the Opotiki County Council, Air. II K. Hogg was elected chairman, and Messrs. King, Lilly, and the Uev. D. Pattullo representatives on the Charitable Aid Board.
