Particulars are to hand regarding the 'April month's concentrates that were shipped by the Monowai Company to the Dapto Smelting Works, New South Wales, during the month of May last. The net weight of the shipment of concentrates, after making all allowances for moisture, bags, etc., was 24 tons Bcwt 3gr, and the total actual value received from the parcel "by the company, after deducting all'charges -for treatment, penalties, ; etc., was £480 8s •6d ; the net weight of the" crude parcel of rich ore, after deducting for moisture, etc., was 1 ton Ocwt 2qr 231b, and the actual value received by the company, after deducting all : penalties, was £159 Is 6d; so that, as a result 1 of the entire shipment, the company actually received in cash £639 •10s. The total amount of ore crushed at -the company's battery for the, yield of concentrates referred to was 286 tons. fMANANU G.M. CO. (WHANGAMATA.) The return from this mine for the month Ending June 29 last, during which period 297 tons of ore were'crushed and cyamded, was as follows:—Value of bullion recovered by amalgamation, £377 9s 4d; value of bullion recovered by cyanide,: £597 13s 2d total value, £975 13s 6d. The average value of bullion recovered was equal to £3 5s 7d per ton. During the month of June the Barrier Beefs Gold Mining Company crushed and treated 1573 tons of ore and obtained there- ' from a return of bullion valued at. ,*llUo 15s, and concentrates estimated to be worth £851 Is 4d, a total of £1957 16s 4d. This is a decrease upon the return for the previous month, when 1454 tons yielded £2974 6s lid. The: total - won - from the mine to date is £24,075 5s 2d. KAURI FREEHOLD GOLD ESTATES (LTD.). ■ During the four weeks ended 26th June the Kauri Freehold Gold Estates Company crushed 187 tons of quartz at their battery at - Opitomiiifrom/ the/ development works, and cyanided 199 tons of tailings from the previous month's crushing, also treating m the filter presses 408 tons of slime,/for,, a return of £543 5s lOd. The total amount . won from the mine to date amounts to £35,387 8s lid. TAIRUA BROKEN HILLS G.M. CO. The total bullion from the 150 tons of ore treated :* during June by the Tairua Broken Hills/ Gold Mining Company was valued at £724. / The returns already published from "this tonnage ; and won from the plates alone amounted to £495. /The slimes and tailings now under treatment are exl pected to yield a further £165. ' ■ During the four weeks ending on Saturday last, four of the tribute parties employed in the May Queen Hauraki mine crushed 17 tons of general ore and 110 pounds of.picked ' stone, for a yield of. 186oz 2dwt of ; melted gold, valued at £507 12s 2d. ' ROYAL OAK OF HAURAKI G.M. CO. The Royal Oak of Hauraki Gold Mining Company, during the four weeks ending the 20th inst., crushed -120 tons of . general ore and 1171b of specimens for a yieldof 184oz , Bdwt of melted gold, valued at £459 9s 3d. ■ KOMATA REEFS G.M. CO. | During the past month/780 tons of ore ..ere treated-by/the * Komata Reefs Gold Mining Company for .bullion valued at £1120 Owing to the labour trouble at the mine, the return is not a complete one. : ; KAURI FREEHOLD TRIBUTERS. CO. ,/ ■ The HauraM Gold Mining Company have ciushed 60 tons of ore, and treated 301b of atone, for a return of 82oz of bullion, valued at £251 2s 6d. . ;:•-:• TOTAL FOR SIX WEEKS, £55,715 5s 6d. The gold returns for the Auckland district for the past six weeks , show a total of £55 715 5s 6d, which, representing as it does but one month's crushing operations on the art of the majority of the bullion-produc-ing'mines, is very satisfactory. The returns published in the last Summary but one were in excess of those now tabulated below, but ■ nevertheless the present total constitutes the second highest periodical ■ output recorded during the".current year. The returns from most of the mines for the first six months of ' the year are now hand, and show a total of £323.548 7s 2d,' which is. over half the total output; for 1900.
