A meeting of the combined conferences of the National Dairy Association and the Cheese and Butter-makers' Association was held this morning. Mr. Kinsella, the Dairy Commissioner, made favourable refer- • ence to the butter and cheese exhibits at the dairy exhibition, referring especially to the keeping qualities of the butter. The cheese was described as a very creditable exhibi- ' tion. Papers on " Pasteurisation," " Ched- ; dar Cheese," and " Cleanliness in Factories." were read by the members of the dairy staff, and on "The Labour Aspect as relating to the Dairying Industry in New Zealand," by /Mr. W. Wright, of Normanby. Papers were also read by the Dairy Commissioner ,on " Pasteurisation," "Ensilage and Silos," and by Mr, D. D. Hyde, the poultry expert. .... - ' ■' _■■:.-.
