THE DUKE'S MESSAGES HOME.
FREQUENT TELEGRAMS SENT TO THE KING.
The Daily Mail of May 11 has the following: The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York have telegraphed home to the King very flattering accounts of their voyage on the Ophir and their reception by the Australian people.
The Duke is in constant telegraphic communication with His Majesty and also his children, and wherever the Duke and Duchess have landed one of the first things they have done is to forward messages making inquiries about their children. The Royal children are fallowing the voyage of their parents with the utmost keenness, and their governess points out to them on the map exactly where the Duke and Duchess are and at which point they will next touch.
The Duke and Duchess were greatly touched with their reception at Melbourne, and wired home most gratifying messages. The King is taking the greatest possible interest in the doings of his son, and the cordial welcome given to the Duke and Duchess at Melbourne have much pleased His Majesty. It is understood that when the Duke arrives back in London he will be made Prince of Wales, and that he and the Duchess will go to Frogmore House to live. This is ■within easy distance of Windsor Castle: and has been specially fitted up by the King as a Royal residence.
